Showcase: Reporting

Administrators can view how their site's showcase page is helping users engage with content. The following article will outline how to gather this data using the Report Access logs.

Any showcase page section can be reported on using a referrer code embedded in the section's links.

This can be seen when hovering over a particular interactive section link.

For reports, see the example below:

Hovering over a report in the section will highlight a referrer code.

For Adverts, see the example below:

Administrators can use the referrer code to track if any access to their reports has come directly from the showcase page interaction.

When exporting the 'Report Access' statistics, admins will see the additional referrer code row, which links the report access to the showcase page.

Using the Adver referrer code as an example below:

showcase_7of8_advert_1of2

page: showcase

section number: section 7 of the 8 sections on the page

section type: advert

section type number: advert 1 of the 2 adverts on the page

We can see that the report 'ICO Coffee Data Dashboard' was accessed via the showcase advert section 8 advert 1.
