      Basic Configuration Options

      A glossary of site configuration options available in the Content Catalyst platform

      There are a number of basic configurations that we can update for you. This is usually completed as part of the launch, but these options can be updated at any time. You can get in touch with us via the Helpdesk.

       

      Configuration

      Action required

      Publisher Site URL

      The URL of your existing website (corporate identity) and the link used for the logo in the header. Can be set to the interactive site's home page.

      Publisher Name

      Your company name as you would like it to appear on automated emails, and content exports.

      Technology Name

      The site uses this name to describe itself in various site-specific contexts. For example, emails sent automatically by the site will say 'From: [Technology Name]' e.g. 'From 123 Interactive'.

      Copyright Notice

      E.g. © 123 Research, [date]

      Default Source

      If a source is not specified for a given piece of content such as a chart or table, this will be used. Often the same as Publisher Name.

      Sales Email, Sales Phone

      This is the default email address and contact phone number shown on marketing pages. This information will be displayed if the user hasn't been assigned an account manager.

      Application Email

      Shown in the 'from' address field for emails sent out from the site.

      Currency

      Only used in the admin area to show analysis information.

      Site Terms Link

      URL used in the footer - 'Terms of use'.

      Copyright Link

      If set, the user will be able to click on the copyright notice and will be taken to this address.              

      Privacy Policy Link

      URL used in the footer - 'Privacy policy'.

      Marketing Brochures (Optional)

      Default URL used on marketing pages. Reports can have their own links set, but in the absence of those, this is used. Can include [ReportCode] e.g. http://www.123research.com/marketing/[ReportCode].

      Buy It Now Link (Optional)

      A default URL used on marketing pages. Reports can have their own links set, but in the absence of those, this is used. Can include [ReportCode] e.g.http://www.123research.com/shoppingcart/[ReportCode].

      Contact Link

      Shown in the footer e.g. 'mailto:support@123research.com?subject=Question%20on%20123%20Interactive'.

      Logout Redirect

      When users click 'log out', they will be shown a link to this web page. After a set time, they will be taken to this page automatically.

      The redirect page can be set to any URL (your main company website/homepage for example).

      ‘New’ Reports Age

      The system will show a 'new' icon next to certain reports. This icon will show in the search and advert views. By default, the site shows 'new' for all reports published in the last 300 days. This can be set to any other number of whole days.
