Global/Account/User Level Export Templates
Understand how to set export templates on different user levels
Read this article to understand how to:
- Create a concierge, branded experience for high-paying clients
- Personalise the look and feel of export templates
When the site allows users to download content in Word, Excel or PowerPoint, export templates are used. For example, a user may select a single chart and export it to PowerPoint. The PowerPoint file created by the site will pull branding from a template.
Templates can be set up as site-wide, account or user-specific. Export templates for specific accounts or users are useful if you want to add your client's own branding on the templates they will use to export.
Global/site-wide templates
1. Within the Admin area, head to the Accounts section, select Accounts > Related Actions > Update Default Templates.

2. The page is split into three sections. Word, PowerPoint and Excel templates.

3. To view your current template for each type, click the icon to download.
4. To upload a new template, either drag and drop it to the specified area or click to upload.
🚨 It is important to use the default template as a guide. If you do not include certain styles in the export, they will fail to export correctly.
Account-wide and user-specific templates
1. Head to the Admin area and click Accounts > Select your required Account > Related Actions > Update template files.

2. Follow the same instructions as above. This will override any global export templates.
