Once you have created your topics, you are now ready to configure and manage which notifications your subscribers receive.
🔔 As described in the End-User Experience article, your subscribers will be prompted to input their topic preferences upon the first log-in after turning the feature on, but, as an admin, you can also set default topic preferences on a per-account basis.
When navigating to Admin > Accounts > [desired account] > Topics, you can:
- Enable/disable Personalised Content Notifications for the whole account
- Choose which topics the account will receive notifications for
- How frequently these notifications will be pushed out – either instantly, daily, weekly or monthly
There are a number of other notification management settings available in your Admin area:
Trigger Prompt For All Users – turning this setting on will prompt all users in the account to choose their topic preferences upon their next log-in.
Include Unlicensed Content – this setting allows you to promote content outside of subscribers’ licenses that still fall into their followed topics in the notification email.
Sent Emails – a report found in Admin > Site Administration > Topics that provides visibility on what emails have been sent out to which users and the actions they have taken after receiving the email.
🔔 These settings allow you to take ownership of notification distribution and provide the most relevant, personalised experience for your individual subscribers and wider accounts.
By default, content notifications are turned off. You can however set the correct notification frequency in Admin by navigating to Admin > Accounts > [desired account] > Content notifications > Select the correct frequency
