There are many options for how users are registered into an account allowing publishers to choose how each of their clients interacts with them. Here's an explanation of the different options available.

These can be viewed and altered via the admin interface. Head to Accounts > Select an Account and click the edit icon on the Company box.

Option
Don't allow registration to this account. Users can't register themselves into this account. They have to be created by an admin or moved into this account.
Allow registration with access code or selected trusted domains only.

Users can register into this account if they have the access code, or they have followed a link containing the access code (which fills in the access code for them).

An added level of security can be added via Trusted domains to prevent sharing of access codes.

Alternatively, the trusted domain can be set to allow registration, in which case the access code is not required and any user with an email address in that domain can register into the account.

Allow anyone to register

Anyone can register into this account.

It is possible to apply this option to more than one account, but we recommend limiting this option to one account to keep things simple and avoid confusion.

If there is only one account with this option enabled, users are registered to it by default.

If more than one account has this option enabled, a drop down will be visible to allow the user to choose the account they wish to register into.
