MyCatalyst

MyCatalyst: AI Chat

Introduction

MyCatalyst is an AI-powered chat tool built for analyst firms and their subscribers to help drive efficiencies and create more value for customers of their research.

MyCatalyst is an additional paid-for feature. Please speak with your account manager if you are interested in using this feature.

The tool can be embedded into your site interface and is available from any page for users with permissions assigned to them.

The tool can also be advertised from your site's home page if preferred.

MyCatalyst AI chat only uses content from your platform and doesn’t use “general knowledge” to answer questions.

As with all user content interactions on the platform, licensed access to the content is foremost.

The chat can be completely customisable with conversation prompts and search terms to help users get started.

Adding Users to MyCatalyst

During the initial setup and testing period of MyCatalyst, we will help you set up any users you would like to be able to use this tool.

In order to add more users after the setup phase is complete, please send a request to the helpdesk via support@contentcatalyst.com.

Getting Started

To start using the tool select the ‘AI Chat’ next to the user profile. This option will be visible from any page on your site once enabled.

To begin a new chat, select the ‘New Chat’ option via the left-hand menu.

You can use the search bar to enter a query to begin a new search through the site's available content.

Select 'Submit' or hit Enter to begin the search.

Once a search term has been submitted, MyCatalyst will search through all existing content available and start to generate an answer using content dependent on by the user license, shown below.

As an example, using the query below:

What are the largest coffee countries?

MyCatalyst will search through content available to the user to provide an answer on the site and provide an answer.

Reviewing Results

Once a search has been completed, a short AI-generated answer will be presented to the user and the most relevant content used to find the answer will available under the response.

The publication date of the source and a link to the relevant reports used in the search will also be available. See below.

Users can choose to preview each of the reports used to find the answer separately by hovering over the content and selecting 'Preview'.

Selecting 'Preview all sources' will expand all the sections of content used to generate the initial response in a separate window as shown below.

Below the search results, users have additional options available to copy the content to profile clipboards, regenerate the response, or provide some feedback on the answer.

Users can then choose to start a new chat or ask further queries.
